How Hog Hunting with Monkeys Works

Native people know how to hunt hogs effectively without the needs of gun. This is through the use of monkeys. Basically, these monkeys are considered as pet by the native where they act as trained companions for their hunting works. Since the native people do not know or have an opportunity to use a gun to hunt animals like hogs, they will have to rely to their own technique and skills for hunting.

On this video, the native people lose the monkey towards the hogs and they automatically run towards the prey to jump and grab them. The monkeys do not kill the boar but simply ride above them to put weight to the animal. This makes it hard for the hog to run fast due to the added weight of the monkey. This is a great opportunity for the native people to chase and take down the hog easily by then. It only proves that hog hunting with monkeys is effective if the hunters do not have dogs or gun to use.
